Tayla & Lachlan

We first heard about Potters receptions after a quick google search when we were getting an idea of venues we would like to walk through. It was the first venue we visited and every other venue we looked at after Potters just didn’t compare.
It’s hard to pinpoint one exact reason why we chose Potters receptions as our venue, we just had a good feeling during our walk through and knew it was the one the first time we visited.

We left the venue after our first visit so excited and couldn’t stop talking about how much we liked it. If we had to pick one thing, the aesthetic of the venue and the surrounding scenery really stood out.

The ceremony in the courtyard under the wisteria was the highlight for both of us, especially seeing each other for the first time on our wedding day, it was a memory we won’t ever forget.
Aside from each other and our family and friends, our day would have not been the same without the attentive service we received from the venue staff. It really helped to smooth out any of the little things that could come up during the day and ensure we could make the most of it.
Plan, plan, plan! We tried to be as organised as possible, and get as much done as early as we could, to ensure the lead up to the wedding was as stress free as possible. We also kept in frequent contact with the Potters staff and our vendors and made sure all our queries were answered prior to the day and everyone was on the same page.

Also, when the wedding day arrives don’t get so hung up on the details or your ideals and forget that the day is actually about being together with the people who are most important to you. Things can go wrong despite your best efforts, but you have each other and that is the most important thing. Don’t let a mis-print or a hold-up or any other small mishap take that away from you.

Finally, we received this piece of advice prior to our wedding day: take 5 minutes with your partner to enjoy each other’s company away from the whirlwind of your day, and just observe from afar your friends and family enjoying themselves. We did this during the reception and it was really special to see how happy everyone was to be together celebrating our love.
