Shannyn & Stuart

5 May 2022

Through Easy Weddings website.
Firstly, the staff were so accommodating. Our first visit was in a small window of time between lockdowns back in 2020, so to be able to go in and have a full walkthrough of the venue which was amazing. Secondly, the actual venue itself. The breathtaking wisteria courtyard, the large reception area, the beautiful waterfall visible from the reception area, the paddock up the back through the intimate walk ways, it is all exactly what we were after. Thirdly, onsite accommodation. It was a must-have for us. To have accommodation on site for our interstate and international guests was non-negotiable for us. So, what Potters have to offer was perfect.
Shan: Being able to hang out with my bridesmaids (my best friends) in the luxurious penthouse, walking out under the greenery down to my best friend with my dad by my side, then standing under the arbour whilst it rains saying our vows and tearing up the dance floor with all our loved ones.

Stu: Top 3 would be the ceremony; the fact that we were able to get ready on site, to make it less stressful; the paddock up the back to take one of the most memorable photos of the day.

The dessert brought back to our room at the end of the night for us to enjoy just us! Hahaha, but in all seriousness, taking time with our bridal party before entering to the reception to slow down and enjoy every moment with them.

Make a list of must have, deal breakers, talk to all the vendors, ask all the questions as there is no such thing as a stupid question, the vendors are the experts and they do it every day so they will be able to help and if they can’t help, they will find you someone who will.

I know guest lists are hard to make sure you’re in your budget, so what we did was we made a list and there were a few things that were needed to have people make the cut. Firstly, partners of anyone on the guest list had to have been with them for at least a year and we have had to have met them at least 3 times. Secondly, if we were to go out for dinner with the guest/s would we shout dinner for them, if so then they will be there, if not, then probably not. Lastly, if we couldn’t imagine our day without them and they would make the day exceptional, then they were a non-negotiable.
