Stu: Top 3 would be the ceremony; the fact that we were able to get ready on site, to make it less stressful; the paddock up the back to take one of the most memorable photos of the day.
Make a list of must have, deal breakers, talk to all the vendors, ask all the questions as there is no such thing as a stupid question, the vendors are the experts and they do it every day so they will be able to help and if they can’t help, they will find you someone who will.
I know guest lists are hard to make sure you’re in your budget, so what we did was we made a list and there were a few things that were needed to have people make the cut. Firstly, partners of anyone on the guest list had to have been with them for at least a year and we have had to have met them at least 3 times. Secondly, if we were to go out for dinner with the guest/s would we shout dinner for them, if so then they will be there, if not, then probably not. Lastly, if we couldn’t imagine our day without them and they would make the day exceptional, then they were a non-negotiable.
